Clinical Summary

A 45-year-old man had a visual acuity of 20/30 in his right eye associated with the clinical diagnosis of a macular microhole (A).

Optical Coherence Tomography

A horizontal OCT scan (B) showed a narrow, punched-out loss of retinal tissue. The photoreceptor layer was preserved consistent with a partial thickness hole. The diameter of the hole was 230 jjm.
