Follow-up Examination

The patient elected to undergo pars plana vitrectomy and membrane peeling in her left eye iri attempt to improve vision. On follow-up examination one month after the operation, her visual acuity had declined to 20/250.

Follow-up Optical Coherence Tomography

A repeat OCT examination (C) showed the disappearance of the reflective strands corresponding to the posterior hyaloid membrane as a result of the vitrectomy 1 lie disruption in the fovea, however, persisted and a large, non-reflective region was present in the outer fovea consistent with a retinal cyst, he epiretinal membrane was also still evident just temporal to the fovea where it was slightly separated from the neurosensory retina.
