Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

Case 7-11 continued

Clinical Summary

Slit-lamp examination also revealed an area of serous elevation superior to the fovea in the patient's right eye

Optical Coherence Tomography

A vertical OCT tomogram (D) showed a shallow detachment of the neurosensory retina superior to the foveal depression. Superiorly in the image, a faintly reflective band was evident just anterior to the retina, most likely representing the posterior hyaloid. The membrane appeared to be separated from the retina inferior to the region of serous retinal detachment, and suggested that vit-reoretinal traction may have facilitated the detachment
