Researchers Decisions

Cancer researchers may act based on a collection of information that includes, for example, clinical trials, population data, scientific publications, nucleic acid or protein sequences, genes, genomes, human genetic variation, protein structures, protein domains, gene expression data, or taxonomy. Cancer information also includes relationships between these objects. For example, a gene may be related to a DNA sequence, a protein sequence, a somatic mutation database, publications describing the gene, and summary information about cancers related to genetic variation. Supporting navigation of such a heterogeneous colletion of objects based on relationships between them is a difficult problem.
