Urine output may be increased, decreased, or unchanged. Markers of glomerular filtration, blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine, are increased only if filtration falls by 80%. The urine may contain glucose and protein, including proteinaceous casts formed in the nephron of tubular debris.
