Advanced Reference: Involves impulses short-cutting to the ventricles and bypassing the atrioventricular (AV) node due to an abnormal conduction pathway between the atria and the ventricles. The electrocardio-graphy (ECG) reveals a short PR-interval that is often incorporated within the QRS-complex. Sufferers can sometimes spontaneously go into supraventricular tachycardia or atrial fibrillation.
