Although some vision problems may be due to MS, do not assume that all visual effects are a result of the disease; all of the common visual problems seen in other people occur in people with MS. Regular checks of vision should be made and those that can be corrected with lenses should be man aged normally. MS-related visual problems cannot be corrected by lenses, but the need for reading glasses by the age of 40, and the incidence of glaucoma, uveitis, cataract, and other disorders are the same as for everyone else.
