Complica tions

• Chest pain related to myocardial ischaemia or infarction. Local chest pain guidelines should be followed. ECG abnormalities often resolve within 12h. Arrhythmias should be treated conventionally, though avoiding p-blockers.

• Heart failure from myocardial depression or a cardiomyopathy

• Cerebrovascular accidents

• Pneumothorax

• Rhabdomyolysis

• Premature labour—abruption

• Agitated delirium, hyperthermia

• Thermal injury from smoke inhalation
