Antisocial dissocial personality disorder

Antisocial is the most studied PD. Its prevalence has been assessed in 18 epidemiological surveys, with a median sample size of 3359 subjects; six studies used the Diagnostic Interview Schedule as the assessment instrument. Antisocial PD seems to have a prevalence of around 1.9 per cent in the general population and to be more frequent among males than females, with sex ratios ranging from 2:1 to 7:1. It is also more common among younger adults, those living in urban areas, and the lower socio-economic classes. People with a diagnosis of antisocial PD are also high users of medical services.
