Histopathology

The histological appearances of ITL are variable both between cases and between different tumour sites in the same patient. The most frequently encountered type is composed of highly pleomorphic, medium to large cells, followed by a lymphoma type that shows a morphology most consistent with ana-plastic large cell lymphoma. The border between these two histologies is not sharp and transition from one to the other may occur, even within the same tumour {307}.
