Supposed Hoofed mammalof Mexico.

Physical description: Piglike animal, thought in the nineteenth century to be a hybrid Domestic pig sow (Sus scrofa scrofa) x and a polled Domestic ram (Ovis aries). Curly hair is black, white, black and white, or brown and white.

Distribution: Oaxaca State, Mexico. Present status: The name is now a Spanish synonym for the Yucatan miniature breed of pig.

pP'ossible explanation: W. B. Tegetmeier examined the skull of an alleged Cuino in 1902 but found it to be a full-blooded pig.
