Unknown Lizard of Central Asia.
Behavior: Its bite is said to be as venomous as twenty cobras. Unlike other lizards, it spits its venom.
Distribution: Northern India. Possible explanations:
(1) A harmless gecko (Eublepharis hardwickii) of east India and Bangladesh. The related Leopard gecko (E. macularius) also has a reputation in Pakistan as a venomous reptile.
(2) A composite animal, a hybrid of poisonous snakes and harmless lizards.
