Adverse reactions are related to immune complex formation and complement activation, increased immunoglobulin levels and passive transmission of antibodies, and infection transmission (Table 1). Although donor screening and viral inactivation during the manufacturing process minimize the risk of transmission, it is not completely eliminated.
