Furthermore one has to take into account that, for the successful elimination of TFA, time is also an important parameter. Immediate solutions can not afford to be registered as novel foods or suffer from long clearance procedures. Lastly, it is not very likely that the consumer will be willing to pay a premium for TFA-free products because the elimination of TFA is not an additional benefit but more a correction of the status quo driven by general consensus.
